It brings to mind Picasso's "Old Guitarist" hanging in Chicago's Art Museum--a sanctuary from my childhood. It was his "blue period" and your scene was a perfect invocation until you had your artist tossing euros. The conflating of art, music and passion is Picasso.

Damn! I should have put pesatas! Funnily enough that picture was the inspiration, along with my memories of a stunning street guitarist in Granada.
